ABOUT

Founded in 2025, the Manila Society of Theater Reviewers (MSTR) aims to promote, support, and celebrate the theater industry of Metro Manila. 

It is composed of regular reviewers of the Manila theater scene across print and online platforms. 

The group accomplishes its mission through: 1) consistent, publicly accessible theater criticism from its members, and 2) the presentation of annual awards honoring the best theatrical works in the capital region for the calendar year. 

Beyond fulfilling these goals, the Society seeks to cultivate and elevate discourse on theater among industry practitioners, journalists, academics, and the general theatergoing public.
